The BiPAP A40 Silver Series is based on the well-known Respironics platform and is equipped with well-known Philips Respironics technologies proven in clinical conditions, such as Auto-Trak, AVAPS and the SystemOne humidifier control.
For patients with chronic respiratory insufficiency, ventilation through the device can be both invasive and non-invasive and at pressures up to 40 mbar.
In the new BiPAP A40 Silver Series, there is a new ventilation mode: AVAPS-AE.
This innovative ventilation mode facilitates the titration process for physicians.
At the same time, it guarantees comfort and therapy success. It also contributes to long-term therapy adherence - with all changes in body position, sleep stages or breathing mechanics.
In AVAPS-AE mode, the device monitors upper airway resistance and automatically adjusts EPAP to safely keep the airway open - similar to dynamic lip-pressure.
Simultaneously, the BiPAP A40 automatically adjusts pressure support to maintain a target tidal volume.
When the respiratory rate is set to Auto, the device adjusts the backup rate based on the patient's spontaneous respiratory rate.
